The Two Week Experiment - Final Days and Conclusion
Final three Days and Conclusion - 14/9/12 - 16/9/12 - I was called back to Plymouth early. I have continued the meditations with OM Harmonics and The Silva Method. I have found them both useful. In conclusion for OM Harmonics I will say that all there pieces work and if you want to get the result of a medatitive mind from day one by just listening then this is the things for you. The only shortfall is that they dont provide you with quick access triggers and the shortest peice is 15 minutes, so you need this amount of time at least. The other con is the CD is around $75 (£50ish) at its cheapest depending on where you get it from and what deals you choose. An expensive shortcut!!! The website is http://www.omharmonics.com
The Silva Method is a very polished system that equips you with many techniques that are useful and an older set of tones. No pleasant music here but I will say everrything they provide is spot on and work very well. They do provide you with a mountain of triggers with these techniques and they work. So many pros, the only con is the price which also came in around $80 (£50ish) which is expensive and thats just for downloads and not CDs. However you do get a monutain of matarial for your money. Also an upgraded version has just being released so prices may go up again see http://www.silvalifesystem.com
Day Eleven - 13/9/12 - Did “Awakening” and “Focus” and “Spark” all on the bounce. Definitely get a boost from using at least one of them, not so sure if three make a vast difference over doing the one, but just the one pays dividends. I feel more vibrant which I would after getting back into things for this length of time but I must admit that the OM Harmonics have helped, the Silva Method Screen is a good technique, it is similar or in fact the same as the TV technique I use to activate the third eye when I give guided meditations
Day Ten - 12/9/12 - “Awakening” Certainly seem to take me through Alpha slowly but with none of the normal side affects of waking up such as feeling like I dont want to get out of bed, feeling lethargic and not alert when I do. The hardest thing for meditation is getting up and getting the motivation to spend half an hour on the cushion meditating. With Awakening I do the half an hour in bed listening to that and by the end can leap out and onto the cushion pretty much. It does work and a lot better than the normal alternative. I used the QEG in the new configuration for healing and got a lot of vibration through the keystone, the other four stones formed a funnel like shape for the energy. Tomas was there faintly sending energy to my throat chakra, the energy was great. This evening I did another meditation with the OM Harmonics “Spark”, Tomas came in strong as did my other guides. They said to remain grounded and things would fall into place.
Day Nine - 11/9/12 - Did “focus” from OM Harmonics and the Quartz Energy Grid. Not as successful as i’d hoped but a vivid meditation did follow although not much acheived during it. I did get a new configuration from my guides for the QEG designed around healing. I will have to look into it in more detail. I think they want me to pass it on for general use. Tomas my new guide has been sending a lot of energy to my throat chakra. I think it is in preperation for Trance work. Got a load of stuff for a project with Cassie.
Day Eight - 10/9/12 - Had a thought “does the Awakening med take me out of Alpha?”, I think it must take me through Alpha more slowly, as I have a lot more downloads than normal but its eventual end must be in Beta. I tried doing the Silva meditation from CD 11 and the Quartz Energy Grid configuration given to me by my guides for enhanced contact, I immediately got a burst of energy come through and could see that the cornerstones produced an arc like shape that came inwards and met above my head and the keystone in my hands, which shot energy upwards. As I opened my chakras my own energy joined that of the keystone and the arc from the other four shooting upwards, in for want of a better phrase an aerial like configuration. I appeared in my garden, sat and balanced my chakras. Was very vivid and I got a lot of white healing energy. This connectin was very vivid. The Silva Track helped as did the QEG. Very cool!!!
Day Seven - 9/9/12 - I only did the 15 minute version of “The Awakening” and “Focus”, which was more than ample. I think OM Harmonics should consider some even shorter ones to wittle down to after a prolonged period of time. The Silva Alarm Clock didnt work and my physical alarm went off, but then Laura Silva did say that your intention weakens if you employ a safety net.
I then did my own med and met the Monk by his signpost. I have decided to start a Tumblr blog about our meetings to pass on what he says although it will have to be carefully though about as a lot of it is personal. I then met my Native Indian guides in there Wigwam and the new guide in the black robe after. I asked him what he was here for and he showed my a black sky and then the stars looking up from a desert vista. Finally he showed my himself bathing in a cauldron of water on a fire, maybe a reference to the fire and water approach combined? He said other planets have life and also showed me a Aztec temple. Its the end of the first week and I have slipped back into meditation so much quicker than normal thanks to OM Harmonics and have learnt some new techniques which are pretty cool thanks to the Sivla Method. There is a lot more to learn and I want to see if the pace continues.
Day six - 8/9/12 - “Deep Rest” continues to work although I may try and deprogramme it and go back to my old triggers. The Silva Alarm Clock worked to within one minute, which I think is pretty frickin awesome. Im going to try tomorrow with a physical backup to see if it affects the results. This evening I used the Silva method relaxation meditation and went deep, I got buzzed out on the sternum three times though each time I went deep. This involves a pressure or a buzz sensation on my sternum which kicks me out of the medatitive or alpha/theta state. This has happend before and I think its my guides although I dont know why. My energy is definately up this week from the constant meditation.
Day five - 7/9/12 - I did do “Deep Rest” last night and slept well, there is dependence on the audio as a trigger, Something to think about. Started the day with “Awakening” and “Focus”, I must admit they both do what they say they will. I think both can be achieved with regular meditation but for someone that doesnt want to meditate but still wants the benefits it may work well. Did some more Ba Dua Jin and love the buzz that energy work gives me. I did some more Silva Method and am going to try the Alarm Clock technique tommorow morning. This involves using your meditation to set your intention to wake at a certain time and visualising an alarm clock. Laura Silva who is talking on the CDs emphasies that you can set no physical alarm clock as these weakens the intention. I can see how this can be as intention plays a large role in any action even something as small as getting up at a set time.
Day Four - 6/9/12 - I Didn’t do “Deep Rest” last night as I was listening to the Silva Method, guess what? Yep tossed and turned all night!! Thats what happens when you go from using an audio trigger to nothing!! A con here is although it is an affective trigger when used, fifteen to thirty minutes is a long time to spend on it. I would expect a meditation to last for that long and provide a much shorter trigger to be used over and over. It didn’t even occur to me to do it when I woke up the fifth time!!
I need to look at using other triggers and how long a reprogramme will take. I started the day with “Focus” As I never really fell asleep enough to do “Awakening”. Maybe an interesting avenue of investigation into reliance on the OMH tunes, do they breed reliance? During Focus I had a download about an on-going project for the communities idea, see our main website www.manypathsonecommunity.co.uk. I managed CD 2 of the Silva Programme and found there guided meditation pretty good, and similar in nature to meditations I have been taught in the past through the Spiritualist Church. Most of their information and techniques seems to be gathered from older/ancient sources and updated, not a bad thing as the old ways have a lot to teach us in modern times and they have sculpted a lot of separate theories into a polished method. I got healing to with the Universal Healing Energy, I’ll provide more info on the UHE another time.
Day Three – 5/9/12 - Started with “Awakening” again and Focus, I had no guide interaction although felt a lot of energy coming my way and felt very relaxed. I have felt more motivated today and spent half an hour on Ba Dua Jin after work. This is a Set of exercises created by the Shaolin Monks over a thousand years ago for cultivating energy. See www.shaolinschooluk.co.uk for more information. Since I have been doing OMH for three days I have made a start on the Silva method. I completed the first CD and there is some very good information there and a couple of useful techniques. They are also using triggers to help in certain situations, I think the same can be done with visualisation meditations to create triggers to help people deal with things in everyday life. I have had a download from my guides regarding how some meditations might go that “clip” onto my “meet your guides” meditation. Just to clarify a download is something that I get from my guides or even my inner intuition without actual meditation although I am in the alpha state when they happen. I always get them in a very relaxed state but without going into a meditation for direct communication. It is something that has come with time and meditation practice, but they do fall away after a while away from meditation which is why its important to keep going once you have started. The Silva method is utilising the medatitive state as a teaching tool to teach techniques which can be used again and again. The triggers are different to what I have encountered, I prefer my own but can see how they are effective. Both OM Harmonics and the Silva system seem to be living up to expectation.
Day Two – 4/9/12 - The “Deep Rest” Has definitely made a difference, it did what it said on the box. I woke up in the fireplace (Slept like a log).
I Started the day with “The Awakening” whilst laid in bed and went straight into the Focus on the cushion. I sat in circle with my guides and exchanged energy. It was a great med and got me a long way to getting back on track to where I should be. The day went be in a flash with the enthralling subject of Unix, Very exciting!! The evening though was great, whilst doing the “Deep Rest” Meditation prior to sleep I saw my own aura around my hands for the first time in a few months. Everything seems to be falling into place. Even with my previous experience OM Harmonics seem to be accelerating the rate. They seem to have found a way to use sounds as a trigger for the meditative state and to induce certain functions, a lot like the internal vision triggers in visualisation meditations that I have done and taught in the past. Hold that thought!!! Ended the day with “Deep Rest”
Day One - 3/9/12 - I wouldn’t say I have a problem with sleep in the first place but I can say I do sometimes spend some time tossing and turning. My first foray into OM Harmonics is the “Deep Rest” Meditation which I did laid down prior to sleep last night. I have to say I slept like a log although I did have lots of dreams, Something which to be fair I do get when I start meditating again, it is almost like my guides have been waiting patiently in the corner for me to start again and then everything is thrown at me in a welcome back kind of way. Information on guides will be published in another article. When my alarm went off rather than jump out of bed I plugged in the headphones and listened to the “Awakening” from the same CD, Each of their pieces has a specific purpose or function and is 30 minutes long. Although there is a 15 minute shortened version available included in the initial price.
By the end of the med two things had happened, One I was very awake and alert all sluggishness gone which although meditation does for me anyway isnt something that happens on my average morning without it. However so far OM Harmonics has done what it said it would my previous medatitive experience aside. The second is that the meditative state allowed me to connect to my main healing guide whom I call the Universal Healing Energy, I felt the energy pour into some areas that I knew needed it. There will be an article on healing at a later date as well. The point to take is that so far OM Harmonics have delivered 2 for 2, although with my previous meditation practice it may have been easier for me to fall back into it the swing of things it can be said the triggers are there in the music and beats. Something which may be worth exploring with someone with less experience. When I did get out of bed it was to the meditation cushion to try out the next OM offering called “Focus”. No prizes for guessing the purpose of this one, sharpening your focus is a good thing when you are about to undertake two weeks of Unix instruction, a very dry subject. Once again OM came in at the wire as a winner, I managed all day without the focus slump you get halfway through the day. I spent the evening with old friends at the Gosport Spiritualist Church Circle. Sylvia and the gang are still every bit as mad as ever and its always a pleasure to see them as well of course as seeing my guides during the meditation whom I have neglected for far too long!! I found it very easy to settle into the medatitive stance to speak to my guides, helped I think by the practice with OM Harmonics. I did the “Deep Rest” again prior to sleep
Meditation is without a doubt one of the most useful tools you can ever learn. It comes in many forms and flavours and is a help to numerous people in its many guises. The thing for me about mediation which is ironic is that I start to take it for granted and all the benefits it confers and I miss a day, then two days, then a week and before I know it I have let it slip for too long. How do I come by the realisation that I have let it slip for too long? I become ill maybe something as small as a cold, or a virus or I become frustrated or peeved over something that wouldn’t normally affect me and I get a moment where that thought that just says “I let it go again”. I don’t slip often but it is often enough, this time I found myself heading away for a course with work and decided to take some material with me to learn that would enhance my meditation and allow me to learn some new techniquews which I would do every day for the two weeks I would be gone. Hence The Two Week Experiment.
I have developed my own triggers over the years for reaching a medatitive state but thought I would look for some new techniques. After a trawl through the exceptionally cluttered corridors of the net I came across two things of interest. The first is a thing called Binaural tones, and the second is the Silva Method which was first developed many years ago by Jose Silva and has grown into a massive worldwide phenomena that incorporates many techniques to build you or me into a better person and also includes one of the earliest applications of Binaural Tones. Binaural tones at its basic is a system of sounds that induces a meditative state without where the practioner doesnt need to have practiced meditation before. I found a system of several sets of music which have been engineered with these tones called OM Harmonics. I purchased both systems form a company on the web called Mind Valley. Both systems cost money which I will discuss at the end of the fourteen days when I look at the value for money. With my downloads on myLaptop and Iphone I left for my course in Fareham
They beat like real heart cells, but the rat cardiomyocytes in a dish at Harvard University are different in one crucial way. Snaking through them are wires and transistors that spy on each cell’s electrical impulses. In future, the wires might control their behaviour too.
“Climate change challenges us to examine previously unexamined beliefs and worldviews. It acts as a flash point (albeit a massive one) for deeper cultural and ideological conflicts that lie at the root of many of our environmental problems, and it includes differing conceptions of science, economics, religion, psychology, media, development, and governance. It is a proxy for “deeper conflicts over alternative visions of the future and competing centers of authority in society,” as University of East Anglia climatologist Mike Hulme underscores in Why We Disagree About Climate Change. And, as such, it provokes a violent debate among cultural communities on one side who perceive their values to be threatened by change, and cultural communities on the other side who perceive their values to be threatened by the status quo.”—Must read piece Climate Science as a Culture War. The green instinct has always been to oppose nuclear power. But if it really is the only viable way for the world to curtail carbon emissions, then we must surely accept it. To borrow a thought from Sellar and Yeatman’s 1066 and All That, it is better to be right but repulsive than romantic but wrong. So this is the question: does the world need nuclear power for us to solve the climate crisis?
Gerd Leonhard adds: personally, I don’t believe we need nuclear to solve the climate crisis. Rather we must gather the political will to put sustainability above profit… And go from there.
Stethocloud takes a relatively simple approach to replace stethoscopes and targets a common childhood killer.
What do you get when you combine smartphones, cloud computing, and digital medicine? A new era of healthcare that is bringing powerful technological innovations rapidly to the world.
For example, take StethoCloud, a cloud-based service that turns a Windows smartphone into a digital stethoscope. Created by four students from the University of Melbourne, the goal of the team is to enable early diagnosis of an overlooked childhood killer: pneumonia. Using a specially designed microphone called a “stethomic” that plugs into the smartphone’s audio jack and an app that guides users through the proper method for listening to a patient’s breathing, early testing shows promising at accurately detecting the disease.
And it’s expected to cost only $20.
Amazingly, the project only started at the beginning of this year with the first prototype built in February in just two weeks. With backgrounds in both computer science and medicine in developing nations, the team put together the app, cloud service using Windows Azure, and a polished presentation. By April, they were ready with their pitch and their efforts paid off: StethoCloud won the Australian Final of the 2012 Imagine Cup, a student technology competition hosted by Microsoft, in May, and the team advanced to the second round of the worldwide finals.
Improved microbial fuel cell (credit: Oregon State University)
Engineers at Oregon State University have made a breakthrough in the performance of microbial fuel cells that can produce electricity directly from wastewater, opening the door to a future in which waste treatment plants not only will power themselves, but will sell excess electricity.
The new technology developed at OSU uses new concepts — reduced anode-cathode spacing, evolved microbes and new separator materials — and can produce more than two kilowatts per cubic meter of liquid reactor volume — 10 to 50 more times the electrical per unit volume than most other approaches using microbial fuel cells, and 100 times more electricity than some.
This technology cleans sewage by a very different approach than the aerobic bacteria used in the past. Bacteria oxidize the organic matter and, in the process, produce electrons that run from the anode to the cathode within the fuel cell, creating an electrical current.
Almost any type of organic waste material can be used to produce electricity — not only wastewater, but also grass straw, animal waste, and byproducts from such operations as the wine, beer or dairy industries.
“The psychological condition of fear is divorced from any concrete and true immediate danger. It comes in many forms: unease, worry, anxiety, nervousness, tension, dread, phobia, and so on. This kind of psychological fear is always of something that might happen, not of something that is happening now.”—Eckhart Tolle (via lazyyogi)

Life is about energy, finding the energy to walk your path and make the life changing decisions and actions that will allow you to progess in the way you should in your lifetime. Its about helping each other to achieve more than what you would individually. Currently MPOC offers some services aimed towards this goal.
Are you a budding writer? Do you want to get your work out there but dont have the money or resources?, or are you passionate about a subject and would like to write about it somewhere. We at MPOC can publish your work on the web for free in the MPOC Library or even offer it as a download from the MPOC Marketplace for a small commission.
at the Market we aim to sell a mix of items from Spiritual items for working energy such as Crystals to Modern Green or Cuttintg Edge Technology that assists with everyday living. We also aim to sell on behalf of others that do not have either time or resources to sell for themselves. Our first contract of this nature is with Shaolin School UK led by Shi Xingdun a 32nd Generation Shaolin Monk. Everything is done via a binding contract. MPOC takes a very small comission of 5% of profit. So after any costs and charges if a £1 is made on an item we only take 5p. We charge no insertion fees, etc and all administration work is done by our team. Our aim is to help others move forward. In the case of Shaolin School UK we hold all stock for them. so if you have a hobby of making something that you dont have the time to sell then get in touch and perhaps we can help you.
Dao Creative Solutions
Dao Creative Solutions is the start and part of MPOC. Its a Spiritual Think Tank. A lot of people are bringing together the skills they have learnt this lifetime and combining them with there Spiritual path. DCS is a place where on Earth experience is combined with Spirit Guides and a vast amount of Spiritual Input. The purpose of DCS is to bring about Spiritual and Creative ways to solve problems. It is in its infancy and any input would be greatly recieved. The first task for DCS is again from Shaolin School UK and is to conceive a project to create a different sort of School. Head on over to Dao Creative Solutionsto find out more.

Visualise your life as a path that you travel. Looking back it winds its way into the distance, at some points it is an uphill struggle, sometimes a downhill slope that seems to get away from you; at other more serene times its a flat easy walk. All along your path are branches that you could of took, or some that you indeed did take changing the direction of your life. Not all these branches are visible as you approach them but most are visible in hindsight and normally accompanied by the thoughts if only I had of. Others sometimes illuminate these branches or junctions for you, there timing almost a sychronistic event helping you on your journey as you indeed help them, the combined energies lifting you beyond what you thought possible
This is what MPOC is about. Realising that others have a path to walk that isnt the same as yours but that you can help each other on your journeys. Realising that Religion, Race, Colour and Creed are not bounderies but a slightly different direction. MPOC is about helping others whilst they help us on our journey, so we can all learn from each other.
Before you lays a path that has not been trodden, a virign route that is specifically for you. This is because no two people are ever identical. There may be many paths leading in the same direction as yours with footprints on them but they are never exactly the same as yours because only you walk your path. Nobody else has had your journey and nobody else will have your journey. That is why you like everybody else are a unique being.
Visualise your life as a path that you travel. Looking back it winds its way into the distance, at some points it is an uphill struggle, at others it is a downhill slope, and at other more serene times its a flat easy walk. All along your path are branches that you could of took, or some that you indeed did take changing the direction of your life. Not all these branches are visible as you approach them but most are visible in hindsight and normally accompanied by the thoughts if only I had of…..
Now visualise other paths intersecting yours, other people coming into your life and leaving. sometimes they will walk with you for a season, a reason or a lifetime and meeting them seems so sychronisitc as they came at just the right time. They will bring you many thoughts and emotions on your path and many will influence the route you take. You may have other guideance on your path from the doctrine of a paticular Faith, Religion or Spirituality. These things may provide you with signposts on your journey, sometimes these signposts may change as you change. The thing to remember is that your path is unique and the decisions on it are yours. Others may walk a similar path to you in many ways but when it comes down to it no one has walked your path and you have not walked anyone elses.
Finally visualise that there is a perfect path through your life. From Birth to passing back to whence you came there is a glistening path that could have been taken that would give you the fulfillment and achievment you wanted from your life. Because it was you that planned this path, it was you that decided you would walk it to learn what you could from it. Then you came here and promptly forgot it, but at times in your life when everything feels like it just falls into place, things happen just at the right time; You have found that path even if its only for a moment. That path is there to be found as often as you can find it and to be walked for as long as you can stay on it.
MPOC is about these paths, about understanding and tolerence of other paths and looking for the commonality of the paths before us all and the similar directions in which we walk. Its about helping each other on these paths, its about seeing where we can go as a part of the universe. not a nation, or colour or relgion but as a whole. Its about the future of our existance such as building a community with the latest technology combined with tolerence and understanding so that all can move forward in a universe that would like to see the Earth succeed.
